ATOM introduces native state into the BITOK protocol. With state as part of consensus validation, transactions can reference and depend on each other, enabling trustless conditional execution. This is sufficient to express atomic exchange on-chain. By design, ATOM serves as the routing asset for all DEX pairs: any listed asset can be exchanged directly for ATOM, while acquiring BITOK requires ATOM as the intermediary.
